Testing Testing ... M ... I ... M ...

Hey folks! It's Been a minute but we have some great news! The new Spylacopa record, Parallels is scheduled for a late March release. We'll get the exact date to you soon but in the mean time we just wanted to inform the masses that we received the test pressings from Pirates Press manufacturing and the test pressings sound fan-freakin-tastic!! So things are moving ahead and the record is being pressed up in some brilliantly beautiful colored vinyl configurations as I type this which makes me a little giddy inside. The photo above is a shot of the test pressing in motion, on my home system, which is the best way for me to approve test pressings when they come in. Just your basic set up, nothing too special but it does the job. In other Spylacopa related news. Independent film maker and my good friend, Steve Perlmaster has put together a really incredible cast and crew for a short film inspired by the music of Spylacopa. The first song off the new record, Hexes, will have an accompanying short film that will be released some time in the not so distant future. Here's a shot of my bud Steve, mid shoot, kicking ass and taking names. With inspirations for this film ranging from Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction to Brothers Quay's Crocodile Street we are sure to be entertained by this short film for certain. More on that coming soon.

There's even more great news!! Rising Pulse records is proud to announce that we will be releasing a limited edition vinyl Double EP of two Meek Is Murder EP's, one which is completely, brand spankin new!!! The band and I sat down for some beverages at the Headless Horseman in Union Square to discuss details and came up with a plan which we will unveil in the coming weeks.
