I started playing guitar at age 12. ________ WHAT BANDS HAVE YOU PLAYED IN? Yes, I play Ibanez guitars almost exclusively and I really love them. It was my first guitar that I owned as a kid and nothing has changed since then. ________ WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LISTENING TO? Midlake Zorch Autechre And I’ve been listening to a lot of classical music like Chopin, Brahms, Stravinksy, Philip Glass ________ HAVE YOU SEEN ANY GOOD FLICKS LATELY? Yes, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. I’m a big Wes Anderson fan and I think it’s one of his best movies to date. I’m looking forward to seeing the movies “Nymphomaniac” by Lars von Trier, and “Under the Skin” by Jonathan Glazer. ________ DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Yes, I have a beautiful female tuxedo kitten named Bambi. She is completely insane. ________ DO YOU COOK? Yes I cook a lot at home. I like to cook breakfast a lot. I love eggs. ________ WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A FOODIE? Yes I would. 100%. ________ DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE RESTAURANT? Yes I do, I have a few. One of my best friends is a celebrity chef. He owns a restaurant called “Beauty & Essex”. The food there is amazing. I also love going to French restaurants as of late, specifically “Juliet” in Williamsburg and Lucien French bistro in the East Village. My all time favorite restaurant is Lil Frankie’s on 1st & 1st in the Lower East Side. I love rustic Italian food and Lil Frankie's does it the best. ________ WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN? I’m kind of a nerd, and a fun night for me is sitting at home drawing or doing some kind of art project. ________ TELL US ABOUT YOUR ART. I’ve been drawing my whole life and I still enjoy it just as much as I did when I started drawing as a kid. There’s something liberating about it. ________ DO YOU EVER SELL OR SHOW YOUR ART? I have shown my work several times over the years but I’ve never sold my work until now. I would like to begin selling prints of my work this Spring. ________ WHAT’S THE LATEST AT RISING PULSE RECORDS? The “New Invaders” 7-inch release date is April 29th. It features guest musicians Adrian Terrazas-Gonzalez (The Mars Volta, T.R.A.M, Omar Rodriguez Lopez) and Daniel Carter (Thurston Moore, Yo La Tengo). Pre sales begin April 7th, 2014, exclusively through Rising Pulse Records and GIANT MKT. Five vinyl color configurations will be available. Two new T-Shirt designs will also solely be available through Rising Pulse Records.
